All jokes aside they are basically telling you to nicely go lay down on the nearest couch or bed and sleep! What if this common saying was taken literally? If there was a way to not only catch some z’s during a nap but also some beautiful benefits… Well there is and it is called Red Light Therapy Beds!

Red Light Therapy effects the cells in your skin, more specifically the mitochondria. This is where all the cells energy is produced aka the powerhouse of your cells. To take it a step further there is a little molecule within the mitochondria that carries the energy called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). So the breakdown is Red Light Therapy increases the function of the mitochondria allowing it to produce more ATP. Meaning the cells have more energy to function and rejuvenate themselves!
Basically this red light stimulates your skin to do good things and there is no UV rays involved!
How does it work?
Like I said before there are various forms of Red Light Therapy. This blog is aimed specifically towards the beds we offer in our salon at Bottoms Up Tanning. We offer two lay down beds and a red light sauna that both offer amazing benefits of Red Light Therapy! In our beds enjoy a relaxing 15 minutes of Red Light treatment with no hassel and all the rewards! Our beds are not all cosmetic either! Although many people come in for help with fine lines, wrinkles, and weight loss a large portion of our clientele use the beds for pain relief and muscle soreness. I personally have used it on a big cut and bruising after a car accident to speed up recover and help with scaring.
